Hi everyone so I have mentioned in a previous post that I treat myself to The Dreams of Gia tarot journal a year or so ago, and not used it as of yet as I have just treat myself to the Tarot cards, I think it is designed a bit like a spell book where you add spreads and write what you interpretations on the card meanings. Do any of you use this method?, and what sort of stuff do you add in the journal?, please feel free to share.

I have a tarot journal (I'm a big fan of journaling). My journal is nothing fancy, just a notebook, although I have quite a few of them now.
I use it for my daily draws, for card meanings, for saving spreads I've found, spreads I've made and breaking down spreads like the CC.
Any reading I've done for myself, I write in my journal, it's great to look back over and see how things turned out (and to see how the cards related).
It's a great way to see how your understanding of the cards grows and changes over time.

I've got A4 folders with spreads, readings and card meanings. I was very diligent when I first started learning Tarot but I must confess, now I'm very slack. I find it difficult enough to find the time to do daily readings, let alone use a journal.
Having said that, I really should try to journal more.
Yeah, I particularly like them because I tend to change thing up every now and then. I seem to decide on a different method, using dividers. If I journaled in a book, I wouldn't have that luxury.
That's the issue I have, because I'm a sucker for a nice notebook. I do tend to cross reference a lot though. All my journals are numbered and I do purge them every so often, although I take out certain pages or bits of info that I want to keep. My first few journals were A4 binders, they hold all the keywords, basic meanings, my interpretations and study notes.

Me too. My husband bought the first one for me at a market, as it had my family crest (a stag) embossed on it. Cheap as chips considering the work gone into them. I gradually got more and more ...
Problem is, the paper is handmade and difficult to get replacements. Also difficult to write in because the paper is so textured. Nonetheless, I love them. But as I said, they are for "special" stuff, not card interpretations and the like.

Sounds like me. I've lost my Game of Thrones book (again), as well as my Kipper book. Can't find them anywhere!

I don't journal my readings but I do have a notebook that I put stuff in like spreads and I wrote down the Major Arcana and Aces. And of course QUOTES! Also when I am reading a book and I come across a something that resonates with me I write it down.
